In this section, which is still under construction, you can find a number of self-studying modules, largely from the areas of language and linguistics. You can do any number of the modules at any one time, and you can do them in any order, the order in which they appear here being pure coincidence.<\/p>\n
You can do the exercise and then move to the next page to check your answers. You can also just look at the solution without doing the exercise. This is completely up to you.<\/p>\n
Some of the modules are straightforward manipulative exercises with a straightforward answer, for example a module dealing with word-formation which gives you ten sets of words and ten terms which you are to match with those words.<\/p>\n
Some of the modules are more complex, with the answer to the first question being taken as the starting point for another question. These modules consist of various sub-modules, so to speak. Again, you have got the choice. You can do the whole module, but you can also stop at any one point.<\/p>\n
Other modules are complicated in a different way. They may not just check knowledge, but also involve the application of knowledge or logical analysis. In these cases, the answers are to be taken as “offers”, not as the only correct solution. Your comments are welcome, they may be valuable feedback to help me improve the modules.<\/p>\n
Occasionally you will find links. These links provide further information, explanation of terms etc. As long as you can manage the task and have no further questions, you can ignore them.<\/p>\n
