And then there was the South American convent girl, well-behaved, polite and somewhat shy, who had just come to Spain where she was to continue her studies. On the night of her arrival she was asked what she wanted for breakfast the following day, and she replied she just wanted a polla, little suspecting that this, apparently a traditional dish in her country, in Spain is a rather rude word to refer to the penis. So she told her host that in the mornings she usually just had a polla, and that she preferred it rather big, nice and warm, and with a little cinnamon on top. To which her host only replied, “What do you want the cinnamon for?”
