Miraculous

In Misha: A Mémoire of the Holocaust Years (1997) Misha tells the story of a little Jewish girl’s miraculous survival in Nazi Germany. Her adventures include being trapped in the Warsaw ghetto, stabbing a Nazi rapist, trekking across Europe on foot and being adopted by a pack of wolves. The problem was: none of this was true, not even the one about Misha being Jewish. Her real name was Monique de Vael. (Gottschall, Jonathan: The Storytelling Animal.
