During a seminar on language change, students in their presentation asked the other students to come up with a new words for new concepts, one for ‘the affliction of dialling a number and forgetting whom you were calling’ and one for ‘ending a relationship via text message’. The students came up with phonesia, phonementia, Alzheimer’s caller and phomemlack for the first and with brext up, smend, smsbreakup, bumes (break-up-message), text-ex and celldumping for the second.
