New grade?

When talking to a colleague from the International Office of John Moores University in Liverpool, I was told that our students, in order to be admitted to all courses, needed to attain Grade F in the initial language test. I enquired if F was the highest grade, and the colleague said no, that the scale went further up, that, as far as she knew, it went “up to haitch”.
