Rapping in Germany

In a small shop in the city centre of Trier I overheard two American tourists say: “They always rap in Germany”. Now, I don’t understand much about rap (or any other type of modern music), but I was surprised to hear that there was anything like German rap at all, and if there was that a couple of elderly American ladies knew about it. Then I noticed that the shop assistant was preparing a box of chocolates the tourists had ordered, and I realised that I had got it all wrong. They hadn’t said “They always rap in Germany”. They had said “They always wrap in Germany”.
